7.Removethecotterpin(18)andclevispin(20)thatsecurestheclevis
connector(19)tothereelleverassembly(27).
8.Removetheextensionspring(21)fromthereellocklever(23).
9.Removetheangenut(26)andshoulderscrew(22)thatsecuresthereel
locklever(23)totheupperreceiverweldment(25).Removethereellock
lever(23)andbaillatchspacer(24).
10.Removetheretainingring(4)andV-ringseal(1)thatsecuresthereellever
assembly(27)tothemaincontrolshaft(15).Slideandremovethereel
leverassembly.
11.Removethesocketheadscrews(6)andcontrolshaftclamps(5)thatsecures
themaincontrolshaft(15)totheupperreceiverweldment(23).
12.Removethemaincontrolshaft(15).Ifnecessary,removethesplitbushing
(16)fromthemaincontrolshaft.
AssemblingtheClutchandReelDriveEngagementLeverAssembly
1.Ifremoved,installthesplitbushing(item16inFigure56)ontothemain
controlshaft(15).
2.Positionthemaincontrolshaft(15)ontheupperreceiverweldment(25)
andsecurethemaincontrolshaft(15)withcontrolshaftclamps(5)and
thebolts(6).
3.Slidethereelleverassembly(27)andV-ringseal(1)ontothemaincontrol
shaft(15)andsecurereelleverassemblywiththeretainingring(4).
4.Installthereellocklever(23)andbaillatchspacer(24)totheupperreceiver
weldment(25)andsecurewiththeshoulderscrew(22)andangenut(26).
5.Installthelinkassembly(14)tothemaincontrolshaft(15)withclevispin
(20).Securetheclevispinwiththecotterpinclip(13).
6.Installtheclevisconnector(19)tothereelleverassembly(27)withclevispin
(20)andsecuretheclevispinwiththecotterpinclip(18).
7.Installthereelleverhandlerod(2)tothereelleverassembly(27).
8.Ifremoved,installthereelleverknob(3)toreelleverhandlerod(2).
9.Installthecontrolcovers(8and10)tothehandleassemblywithboltsand
washers(9).
10.Attachthesparkplugwiretotheenginesparkplug.
