AssemblingtheHeightAdjuster
1.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheupperthreadsoftheadjustmentrodand
lowerthreadsoftheheightadjusters.Assembletheheightadjusterassembly.
2.Ifboththeheightadjustersareremoved,t1heightadjusterassemblytothe
cuttingunitsideplateandsecureitwiththecarriageboltandangenut.Do
nottightentheangenutatthistime.Ensurethattheheightadjustmentbolt
and1washerisabovetheslotinthesideplateand1washerandlocknutis
belowtheslotinthesideplate.
3.Positionfrontrollerbetweentheheightadjusterassembliesandsecure
heightadjusterassemblytocuttingunitsideplatewithcarriageboltand
angenut.Donottightentheangenutatthistime.Ensuretheheight
adjustmentboltand1washerisaboveslotinsideplateand1washerand
locknutisbelowslotinsideplate.
4.Centerthefrontrollerbetweentheheight-of-cutbracketsandtightenthe
frontrollerpinchbolts.
5.Installnewcotterpinsandclevispinsandsecuretheheightadjustmentrods
tothegroomergearboxandidlerarm.
6.Adjustthecuttingunitheight-of-cut;refertoCuttingUnitOperatorsManual.
7.Checkthegroomerreelheightandadjustasnecessary.
8.Adjusttheangenutsonthegroomerheightadjustmentrodsuntilthe
springsarecompressedto19mm(0.750inch).
