shaftyokeandsliptubeyokearealignedwhenthetubeandshaftare
assembled.Misalignmentoftheyokeswillresultinshorteneddrive
shaftlifeandwillcauseunnecessaryvibrationwhenthecuttingunit
(orimplement)isoperated.
1.Applyantiseizelubricanttothesplinesofthecentergearboxshaft(item2in
Figure31)andmaindriveshaft(1).
WARNING
Supportthedriveshaft(weighsapproximately39Kg(86lb))to
preventitfromdroppingandcausingpersonalinjurywheninstalling.
2.Positionthemaindriveshaft(1)tothecentergearboxshaft.Ensurethatthe
sliptubeyokeistowardthecentergearboxshaft.
A.Alignthesplinesonthemaingearshaftandpressthequickreleasepin
(3)andslidethemaindriveshaftontothemaingearshaft.
B.Releasethequickreleasepin(3)andcheckthelockingofmaindrive
shaftbyslightlypullingbackward.
3.Lubricatethemaindriveshaftgreasettings;refertotheGroundsmaster
1200Operator’sManual.
4.Slidetheshieldcone(10)ontothecentergearboxandtorquetightenthe
clamp(4)to3.3to3.9N·m(30to35in-lb).
