7. Install ball joint mount t o ball joint with slotted hex nut.
Torque nut from 90 to 100 ft--lb (123 to 135 N--m) while
aligning cotter pin holes. Install cotter pin.
8. Install center cutting deck (see Center Cutting Deck
Installation in Chapter 8 -- Cutting Decks).
9. If ball joint was removed from lift arm, torque ball joint
jam nut from 150 to 175 ft--lb (203 to 237 N--m).
10.Lubricate lift arm grease fittings.
11. After assembly is completed, raise and lower the cut-
ting deck to verify that hydraulic hoses and fittings do not
contact anything.
12.Check height--of--cut and deck pitch adjustment
(refer to Operator’s Manual).
