•Thismachinehasanautomotive-stylethrottlethat

•Thismachinedoesnothaveaseparatethrottle
switchorthrottlelever.
•Whenyouremoveyourfootfromthetraction
pedal,themachinedynamicallybrakestoastop.
•Thepedalcontrolsareoptimizedtoprovidea
reactiveyetstableresponse,allowingyouto
maintainconsistentcontroloverroughterrain,
whilestillallowingforquick,smoothbraking.
•Whiletransporting,thetractionpedalwilloperate
similartoacarandchangetheengineandtraction
speeddependentonthetractionpedalposition.
•Whenmowing,theenginespeedwillautomatically
raisetohighidle.
•Iftheengineisatlowidle,performingafunction
likeliftingthecuttingunitsorpressingthetraction
pedalraisestheenginespeedtoaminimum
workingspeed,providingenoughpowerto
efcientlyperformthefunction.
•Limitthemachineidletimeasrecommendedfor
dieselparticulatelter(DPF)regeneration.Shutof
themachinetopreventextendedidlingtime.
•ThemaximumspeedssetinthePINprotected
menusettingsaresetbythesupervisortolimitthe
machine’smaximumtractionspeed.
•Theachievabletractionpedaluse,cruisecontrol,
andpedalstoptractionspeedsarealllimitedby
themaximumspeedssetinthePINprotected
menu.
OperatingtheMachine
•Whenyoustarttheengineandthehydraulicuid
temperatureislow,theenginespeedautomatically
increasestooptimizeoperationandwarmsupthe
machine.Theenginespeedautomaticallyreturns
tolowidleafterthehydraulicuidtemperatureis
inanormaloperatingrange.
•Undernormaloperatingconditions,thismachine
isintendedtooperateintheH/LAUTOposition
onthespeedrangeswitch(Figure27).This
positionallowsthemachinetoautomaticallyswitch
betweenlowandhighspeedranges,depending
onwhetherthemachineisbeingusedformowing
ortransporting.
•WhenyouselecttheLOWpositiononthespeed
rangeswitch(Figure27),themachinewillalways
operateinlowspeedrange.Thissettingis
preferableforoperationinashoparea,loadingor
unloadingfromatrailer,climbingsteepinclines,
oranyotheroperationwherethehighertraction
speedsofthehighspeedrangeisnotdesired.
•Ifanobstacleisintheway,liftthecuttingunitsto
mowaroundit.
•Whentransportingthemachinebetweenwork
areas,engagetheAUTOHI/LOWrange,shutoff
thePTO,andraisethecuttingunitstothefully
upwardposition.Thisallowsthetractionpedalto
operatelikeacar.
•Alwaysdriveslowlyinroughareas.
PracticeOperatingtheMachine
•Togetfamiliarwiththefeaturesofthemachine,
practiceoperatingthemachine.
•Liftthecuttingunits,disengagetheparkingbrake,
presstheforwardtractionpedal,andcarefully
drivetoanopenarea.
•Practicedrivingthemachine,becauseithasa
hydrostatictransmissionanditsfeaturescandiffer
fromotherturf-maintenancemachines.
•Practicemovingforwardandreverse,andstarting
andstoppingthemachine.Tostopthemachine,
removeyourfootfromthetractionpedalandletit
returntoNEUTRAL.
Note:Whengoingdownhillinthemachine,you
mayneedtousethereversepedaltostop.
•Removeyourfootfromthetractionpedaland
pressdownonthebrakepedalstostopquickly.
•Practicedrivingaroundobstacleswiththecutting
unitsupanddown.Becarefulwhendriving
betweennarrowobjectssothatyoudonotdamage
themachineorcuttingunits.
