      Several factors can prevent your Toro Snow thrower from starting. Ensure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed 3 times. Also, verify the fuel shutoff valve is open and the throttle is in the Fast position. The fuel tank may be empty or contain stale fuel; drain and refill with fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old). Make sure the spark plug wire is securely connected, and inspect the spark plug for damage or incorrect gap. Finally, ensure the fuel vent cap isn't restricted and that the engine oil level is correct.

Avoid trying to remove extremely heavy, wet snow. Check for and clear any blockage in the discharge chute. If these steps don't help, the auger/impeller drive belt might be loose or off the pulley.

Finally, verify that the engine oil level in the crankcase is at the Full mark on the dipstick; add or drain oil as necessary.
