othersandcandamageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,toensurethat
thefueltankdrainscompletely.
2.Lowertheboomandsettheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Turnthefuelshut-offvalvetotheclosedposition
(Figure40).

fuellineawayfromvalve(Figure40).
6.Pullthefuellineoffthevalve(Figure40).Openthe
fuelshut-offvalveandallowthegasolinetodrain
intoagascanordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.RefertoReplacing
theFuelFilter.
7.Installthefuellineontothefuelshut-offvalve.Slide
thehoseclampclosetothevalvetosecurethefuel
line.
8.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
Note:Notehowthefuellterisinstalledinorderto
installthenewltercorrectly.
Note:Wipeupanyspilledfuel.

3.Turnthefuelshut-offvalvetotheclosedposition
(Figure40).
4.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclampstogetherand
slidethemawayfromthelter(Figure41).
