Tostopthemachine,pullthespeedcontrolleverto
theNEUTRALposition.
1.Starttheengine.
2.Disengagetheparkingbrake;referto
DisengagingtheParkingBrake(page21).
3.Tomoveforwardinastraightlinemovethe
speedcontrolleverforward.
Note:Themachinemovesfasterthefarther
thatyoumovethespeedcontrolleverawayfrom
theNEUTRALposition.
4.Toturnleftorright,pull1ofthesteeringlevers
backtowardneutralinthedirectiondesired.
5.Tostopthemachine,pullthespeedcontrollever
backtotheNEUTRALposition.
DrivingBackward
1.Tomoverearwardinastraightline,pullboth
steeringleversrearwardequally.
Toturnleftorright,releasepressureonthe
steeringlevertowardthedirectiondesired.
2.Tostopthemachine,releasethesteeringlevers
totheneutralposition.
AdjustingtheHeightofCut
Thecuttingheightofthemowerdeckisadjustedfrom
2.5to10.2cm(1to4inches)in6.3mm(1/4inch)
increments.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagethePTO,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Whilekeepingthefrontframedown,liftthedeck
on1sidesothatthedeck-supportlatchengages
thexedpininthefrontframe(Figure25).
