Important:Donottransportthemachinewithout
anapprovedTorofrontmountattachment.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Rollthemowerdeckuptothemachinewiththe
dischargetubedown,makingsurethatthedeck
springsarelocatedabovethedrivewheeland
belowtheconsoleoneachside.
4.Unlatchtheseatandtilttheseatforward.
5.Installthedriveshaftontothejackshaft(Figure
81).
6.Alignthemower-deckpush-armtubestothe
machinepush-armsandpushthemowerdeck
rearward.
7.Securethepusharmswiththelynchpinsonthe
leftandrightsidesofthemachine(Figure79).
8.Aligntheupperportionoftherubberguardand
secureitwiththeattachedbolts(Figure80).
9.Releasethemower-deck-lockingpinsoneach
side,raisethemowerdecktotheservice
positionandsecurethedecklatchontothe
hook.RefertoRaisingtheMowerDeckintothe
ServicePosition(page16).
10.Installthespringsontothespringanchorpins
undertheleftandrightconsolesandsecureit
withawasherandhairpincotter(Figure78).
11.Unlatchthemowerdeckfromtheraisedposition,
slowlylowerthemowerdecktoground,and
lockthedeck-lockingpinsoneachside.Refer
toLoweringtheMowerDecktotheOperating
Position(page16).
AdjustingtheLocking-Pin
StopontheMowerDeck
1.Slidethemower-decklockingpinsinonboth
sidesandrotatetolockthedeckintheoperating
position.
2.Loosenthejamnutandturnthestopscrew
clockwiseuntilthelockingpinistightandcannot
berotatedbyhand(Figure82).
