movetheengineandjackshaftuntiltherear
surfaceofall3pulleysarealignedwithin0.8to
1.6mm(1/32inchto1/16inch)(Figure67).

•Theenginemountingboltshavebeenloosenedor
theenginehasbeenmovedorreplaced.
•Thepumppulleyshavebeenloosened,moved,
orreplaced.
•ThePTOpulleyhasbeenaligned;refertoAligning
thePTO-DrivePulley(page52).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Loosenthesetscrewsonbothpumppulleys.
4.Usingastraightedge,aligneachpumppulley
withtheenginepulleybyslidingitalongthe
pumpshaft(Figure67).
5.Tightenthepulleysetscrewsandcheckthe
alignment.
