AdjustingtheReverse-Stop
Rod
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Checkthemovementofthesteeringleversas
follows:
Iftheleversmoveslightlyforwardupto3mm
(1/8inch)thennoadjustmentisnecessary.
Iftheleversdonotmove,thenproceedwith
thefollowingsteps:
A.Fliptheseatuporremovethe
seat-frameassembly(withtheseat
attached)toobtainaclearviewofthe
steering-controlshafttocompletethis
adjustment.
B.Placethespeed-controlleverinthe
NEUTRALposition.
C.Releasetheparkingbrake.
D.Slightlyadjustthelengthoftherodby
looseningthejamnutandbyrotating
therod.

speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,

2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Adjustthepivotnut,whichislocatedattheend
ofthemotion-controlshaftinfrontoftheright
console(Figure65).
Note:Setthetensionhighenoughthatthe
speed-controlleverpositionismaintained
duringoperationandlooseenoughtobemoved
comfortably.
