4.1 Cleaning

9. Take out the Pinch Roller Ass’y from the printer.
10. Wipe the Pinch Roller Ass’y with a soft cloth slightly moistened
with absolute ethyl alcohol.
11. After cleaning the Pinch Roller Ass’y, place it in position, and raise
the both Pinch Roller Plates.
CAUTION!
When re-installing the Pinch
Roller Ass’y on the printer,
remove the slack of the Ribbon
End Sensor Harness as far as
p
ossible by pushing it into the
opening (indicated by the arrow)
.
Failure to do this may cause the
harness to be caught by the
Ribbon End Sensor Plate,
resulting in a printer failure.
