Turning ON/OFF
Saving energy when not in use – energy saving modes –
The following modes are available; Automatic Energy Save mode, Sleep mode, and Super Sleep mode.
The table below shows the procedures to switch modes manually and conditions under which it enters
into or recovers from each mode.

*2 The [ENERGY SAVER] button on the control panel.
*3 The default value is 1 minute .
*4 The Wireless LAN/Bluetooth Module and/or e-BRIDGE ID Gate.
*5 Any of IPX, AppleTalk and other protocols. When the IPsec function is enabled or the Ethernet speed is set to [AUTO
(-1000MB)] or [1000BASE FULL], the equipment enters Sleep mode. For details, see the following guide:

*6 Depending on the network environment, the time for switching to Super Sleep mode may take more than 10 minutes even if
it is set to 10 minutes or less.

For the European version
Contact your service representative to change the default settings.
When the set time for switching to Automatic Energy Save mode is the same as Sleep mode or Super
Sleep mode, the equipment enters into Sleep mode or Super Sleep mode.
If an original is placed on the original glass during energy saving mode, the size is not detected even when the
equipment recovers from this mode. Aer pressing the [START] button or the [POWER] button to recover from
the mode, place it on the glass again.
