Installing the Top Cover
To install the T4900CT’s top cover, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-11 through
4-13.
1. Place the top cover on the T4900CT.
2. Begin at the back and snap the top cover into place, continuing along the sides and
finally the front until all 14 latches are snapped (figure 4-13).
3. Close the display.
4. Fasten the four M2.5x6 silver screws at the back of the T4900CT, to secure the
top cover. If you removed them, also fasten two M2.5x6 screws to secure the
bottom cover (figure 4-12).
5. Turn the computer over.
6. Secure one M2.5x30 screw and two M2.5x11 screws on the bottom of the
T4900CT (figure 4-11).
7. Install the HDD pack, optional PCMCIA card, optional memory card, and battery
pack as described in sections 4.5 back through 4.2.
