What to do if the forks descend on Total Source TRP0007 Trucks without using the release valve?
    • C
      christinemorrowAug 6, 2025
If the forks on your Total Source Trucks descend without you operating the release valve, it could be due to several reasons. It might be that impurities in the oil are preventing the release valve from closing correctly, in which case you should change the oil. Another cause could be cracked or worn parts in the hydraulic system, so inspect these and replace if necessary. Air in the hydraulic oil, worn or damaged sealing parts, an incorrectly adjusted nut or screw, or an incorrectly adjusted control lever could also be the cause. In the last two cases, adjust the nut or screw, or follow the procedure for adjusting the control lever.

Why won't the forks raise on my Total Source TRP0007?

      David MoraAug 13, 2025
If the forks on your Total Source Trucks can't be raised, several factors could be the cause. First, check the hydraulic oil level and add oil if it's too low. Secondly, if the oil contains impurities, replace the oil. Thirdly, an overtightened nut or screw might be causing the pumping valve to stay open, so adjust these. Also, air in the hydraulic oil or an incorrectly adjusted control lever might be the cause, so bleed the air or adjust the lever as needed. Finally, make sure the load isn't too heavy, activating the pressure relief valve, or that the temperature isn't too low, causing the hydraulic oil to thicken. Reduce the load or move the truck to a warmer location if necessary.

What to do if the forks on Total Source TRP0007 can't be lowered?

      Sharon LiAug 27, 2025
If the forks on your Total Source Trucks can’t be lowered, it could be due to a few reasons. The piston rod or pump body might be deformed because of overloading, in which case you should replace them. Rust on the piston rod, caused by keeping the forks in their highest position for a long time, could also be the cause, so lubricate the rod and keep the forks in the lowest position when not in use. Also, an incorrectly positioned adjusting nut or screw, or an incorrectly adjusted control lever could be the cause. Adjust the nut or screw, or follow the procedure for adjusting the control lever. Lastly, check for any obstacles under the truck or in the fork mechanism and carefully remove them.
