WARNING
To avoid injury before loading this truck onto a trailer or highway truck, make
sure the floor has a capacity strong enough to hold the weight, and that it has
tie down points that will keep the truck from moving. Be sure to follow these
instructions:
Stay away from edges and remember that lift trucks steer from the rear.
Use the draw bar to load the truck on a tilt trailer, or make sure that dock
levelers or plates of the proper capacity are used if loading from a dock.
Center the truck left and right, lower the forks or the attachments, set the
parking brake and turn off the key switch.
Install chains and chain tensioners from the draw bar in the rear to the left
and right sides and rearward to the transporting vehicle.
Protect the paint and controls on the floor of the operator's compartment
with wood or heavy cardboard.
Install a chain from left to right across the floor and attach with tensioners
I
to a forward position on the transporting vehicle.
Operate the transporting vehicle slowly and smoothly and check the tie
downs periodically.
