The R 1000 E can be controlled remotely using the FD 100 bi-directional radio
remote control handset if a Gateway module is installed; this is available as an
optional extra.
When you call up this menu point, the R 1000 E attempts to create a connection
with the FD 100 radio remote control.

The menu item is only visible, if a gateway module is installed.

The USB DAC connection for playing back DSD files can be configured at this
menu point. If the setting is “off”, it is possible to play PCM-encoded files
exclusively.
