What to do if my T+A Amplifier has no output signal and the red LED is flashing?
    • B
      Brenda EwingAug 14, 2025
If there's no sound from your loudspeakers and the red LED on the screen of your T+A Amplifier is flashing, it indicates the PROTECTION circuit has been activated due to overheating or overloading. First, reduce the volume and wait about 20 seconds to see if the unit recovers. If it doesn't, let the amplifier cool down for a few minutes. Also, inspect the speaker leads and terminals for any short-circuits, ensuring wire ends are neatly twisted and replacing any damaged cables. Finally, disconnect the input cable to check for overloading due to poor earth contact; if the amplifier restarts, examine and replace the input lead if necessary.

How to fix a T+A Amplifier that does not switch on?
    • J
      Jody DanielsAug 18, 2025
If your T+A Amplifier doesn't switch on, check that the mains lead is correctly plugged in and pushed in firmly. Ensure the mains switch on the back panel is switched on. If it still doesn't work, the mains fuse might be burned out and should be replaced by an authorised specialist workshop, using a fuse with the same rating as specified on the unit.

Why does my T+A Amplifier keep switching off at high volume?
    • A
      ambermontgomeryAug 21, 2025
If your T+A Amplifier switches off repeatedly at high volume levels, it may be overheating due to heat build-up. Ensure there is an unobstructed flow of cooling air around the unit. Also, check that you are using loudspeakers with an impedance of at least 4 ? (DIN rating), which means a minimum impedance of > 3.2 ?.

What to do if my T+A Amplifier is not responding to commands?
    • D
      Danielle HopkinsAug 25, 2025
If your T+A Amplifier does not respond to commands, it's possible that static discharge or powerful interference has corrupted the processor memory. Disconnect the mains plug, wait about one minute, and then reconnect it. Switch the unit on again to see if this resolves the issue.

Why is my T+A Amplifier not responding to the remote control?
    • M
      Mitchell FrankAug 28, 2025
If your T+A Amplifier responds to manual button operation but not to remote control commands, first check the batteries in the remote control handset, ensuring they are correctly installed or replacing them with new ones. If you're using the F1 remote, make sure it's set to Hi-Fi mode by pressing the ???? rocker. Also, ensure there is direct visual contact between the remote control and the receiver on the V10 screen, avoiding obstructions like glass doors and direct sunlight or strong artificial lighting. The maximum range is approximately 8 meters. Note that fluorescent and energy-saving lamps can cause interference.

How to stop loud humming noise from T+A Amplifier loudspeakers?
    • M
      Michael CastroAug 31, 2025
If you're hearing a loud humming noise from the loudspeakers connected to your T+A Amplifier, it might be due to poor contact between the Cinch plugs and sockets, or a faulty Cinch cable. Check all connections and cables thoroughly to resolve this issue.

Why aren't my source devices responding to the T+A Amplifier remote?
    • M
      Mitchell Riggs Jr.Sep 4, 2025
If the source devices connected to your T+A system aren't responding to remote control commands, ensure that the correct unit is selected as the source device on the remote control handset by pressing the corresponding source button and trying again. Also, verify that the source device is connected via an RLINK cable as shown in the wiring diagram.

How to fix flat sound and insufficient bass on T+A Amplifier?
    • D
      Dale MiddletonSep 7, 2025
A flat sound image and insufficient bass response from your T+A Amplifier could be caused by loudspeaker cables connected with reversed polarity. Check the speaker connections at both the loudspeakers and the amplifier's speaker terminals, and correct them if necessary.

What to do if T+A Amplifier remote doesn't work after battery change?
    • U
      ukingSep 10, 2025
If your T+A Amplifier doesn't respond to remote commands after replacing the batteries in the remote (and the remote control address was previously changed using special software), it's likely because the remote was set to remote control address 2 before the battery change, and this setting was lost. Switch the remote control to address 2; refer to the remote control operating instructions for how to do this.
