3. Build the fresh air hood assembly per Figure 5.
a. Apply gasket to 4, aligning to
top edge of 4.
b. Apply gasket to 6 and 7 as shown.
c. Attach 9 to 6 and 7 using two screws on each side.
d. Attach 5 to 4 using three screws.
e. Attach assembly built in Step d to 6 and 7 using five
screws on
each side.
f. Appl
y gasket to the fresh air hood assembly,
aligning
with three sides of the assembly.
g. Inse
rt and slide 8 through 9.

4. Install economizer end panel using 10 screws and filter
access door using 13 screws. See Figure 6.

5. Locate unit economizer control wiring harness plug
PPM2A. The plug is located in the upper front section
of the return air (attached to unit divider panel).
Remove the mating connector plug and connect
PPM2A to the economizer wire harness. See Figure 7.

6. Remove unit top cover and control box access panel.
Route relay har
ness as shown in Figure 8.
a. Locate economizer fault relay (EFR) wire harness
(wires 1
63A and 164A looped near economizer
section).
b. Secure unterminated end of the harness with a wire
tie in
the contr
ol panel to the left side of the power
terminal block (near the Customer Connection LTB
terminal strip).
c. Connect economizer fault relay (EFR)
to smart
ther
mostat. Strip 163A and 164A wires and
individually wirenut them to the two fault input
wires from the thermostat. Terminate the fault
input wires on the appropriate input terminals on
the thermostat. The thermostat wires need to be
rated for 600V, 105C and UL 1230 or 1231.
d. After mounting and powering the th
ermostat,
configure the thermostat to display a fault message
(e.g., Economizer Fault) whenever the dry contact
input goes high. Consult thermostat's user manual
for detailed instructions.
