Definition of Blended Fuels
Today’sfuelsareoftenablendofgasolineandoxygenatessuchasethanol,methanol,orMTBE(ether)
whichabsorbwater.Usefuelwithin30daysofpurchase.Blendedfuelsolderthan30dayswillaffect
theperformanceandlifeoftheengine.
Using Blended Fuels
Iftheuseofblendedfuelisunavoidable,followrecommendedprecautions:
• Alwaysusethefreshfuelmixexplainedintheoperator’smanual
• Alwaysagitatethefuelmixbeforefuelingtheunit
• Drainthetankandruntheenginedrybeforestoringtheunit
Using Fuel Additives
Itisrecommendedtousethemanufacturers2-cycleoilwiththisunit.Ifunavailable,useagood
2-cycleoildesignedforair-cooledenginesalongwithafueladditive,suchasSTA-BIL®GasStabilizer
oranequivalent.
Add0.8oz.(23ml.)offueladditivepergallonoffuelaccordingtotheinstructionsonthecontainer.
NEVERaddfueladditivesdirectlytotheunit’sfueltank.
Mixing The Fuel
Thoroughlymixtheproperratioof2-cycleengineoilwithunleadedfuelinaseparatefuelcan.Usea
40:1fuel/oilratio.Donotmixthemdirectlyintheenginefueltank.
IF...theunitcamewithabottleof2-cycleoil;pourtheentirebottleinto1gallonofgasandmix
thoroughly.
NOTE:
Onegallon(3.8liters)ofunleadedfuelmixedwithone3.2oz.(95ml.)bottleof2-cycleoil
makesa40:1fuel/oilratio.
NOTE:Disposeoftheoldfuel/oilmixinaccordancetofederal,stateandlocalregulations.

theprimerbulb.Iffuelcannotbeseeninthebulb,pressandreleasethebulbuntilfuelisvisible.
4. MovechokelevertoPosition 1.

Pressthecruisecontroldowntofastposition.
6. CrouchinstartingpositionandplacetheelectricStarterorpowerStartBitintothebackofthe
unit.Refertotheoperationsectionoftheelectricstarterorpowerstartbitoperator’smanual.
7. PressandholdtheelectricstarterordrillON(I)buttonfor2seconds.
8. MovethechokelevertoPosition 2.
9.
WiththecruisecontrolstillintheFastposition,pressandholdtheelectricstarterordrillON(I)
buttonfor2-secondintervalsuntiltheunitstarts.
10.Keepingthecruisecontrolinthefastposition,removetheelectricstarterordrillfromtheunitand
allowtheenginetowarmupfor30to60seconds.
11. MovethechokelevertoPosition 3andruntheunitforanadditional60seconds.Theunitmaybe
usedduringthistime.
