Replacement of Pneumatic
Cylinder
1.
Extend chair to the highest seating
position.
2. Turn chair upside down or on its side.
Hold one of the legs of the five star base
with one hand. Hit the bottom of the
cylinder with a non-marring hammer.
3. Install the pneumatic cylinder removal
tool (part number 879100100) on the top
part of the cylinder, as close as possible
to the chair control.
4. Apply lifting force to the cylinder with
one hand. With the hammer in the other
hand, give the removal tool several solid
hits on the flat part.
If pneumatic cylinder does not separate
from the chair control, apply WD-40
where cylinder is embedded into the chair
control. Wait approx. 20 minutes and
repeat step 4.
