This document describes the LED ZigBee Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve, a device designed for remote and voice-controlled heating management.
Function Description
The LED ZigBee Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve allows users to remotely control their heating system via a smart life app and through voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It offers various operating modes and features for efficient temperature management.
Temperature Control Modes:
- Auto mode: When the "Auto" icon is displayed on the screen, the device operates in Auto mode. This mode allows for programming four time periods and setting temperatures per day, with a weekly cycle, based on customized needs.
- Manual mode: When the "Auto" icon is not displayed, the device is in Manual mode. In this mode, the device operates according to the current set temperature, without being controlled by a time period program.
- Temporary mode: While in Auto mode, if the temperature is adjusted, the set temperature will blink, and the device will enter Temporary mode. It temporarily switches to Manual mode, operating without the time period program, and will revert to Auto mode at the start of the next time period.
Heating Control:
- Stop heating (ON): In summer, rotating the knob clockwise until "ON" is displayed under Manual mode will stop heating. The heating valve will be fully open, which can extend the valve's lifespan.
- Pause heating (OFF): In winter, rotating the knob counterclockwise until "OF" is displayed under Manual mode will temporarily pause heating. The heating valve will be closed, and frost protection will be activated.
- Attention: When antifreeze is activated, the valve opens if the room temperature drops below 5°C and closes when it exceeds 7°C to prevent damage from freezing.
Additional Features:
- Adjust setting temperature: Rotate the knob to adjust the setting temperature in 0.5°C increments.
- Screen rotation: Long press the Set Button for 3 seconds to switch the screen display direction.
- Open-window function: When "OP" is displayed, the open-window function is active. The device detects cold air (indicating an open window) and adjusts the setting temperature to 12°C within 30 minutes. Any operation on the device or APP will deactivate this function. This function terminates if:
- Temperature setting is changed on the APP or device.
- Detected temperature rises by more than 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes.
- No operation on the APP or device within 30 minutes.
- Anti-scale: The TRV performs routine decalcification every Monday at 12:00 to prevent valve calcification. "CA" will be displayed on the screen during this process.
- Child lock function: Long press the middle button for 3 seconds until "LC" is displayed to activate the child lock. To deactivate, long press the middle button for 3 seconds until "LC" disappears.
- Restore factory settings: Long press the middle button and insert the battery simultaneously until "FA" is displayed and blinks for 3 seconds. The device will be restored to factory settings and restarted.
- Attention: All previous settings cannot be recovered after a factory reset.
APP Remote Control and Voice Control:
The device connects to a ZigBee Gateway and Wi-Fi Router, allowing control via a smartphone app (Smart Life) and smart speakers (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant).
Voice Control Commands:
- Amazon Alexa: "Alexa, set the DEVICENAME to 26 degree," "Drop the DEVICENAME by 1 degree," "Raise the DEVICENAME by 1 degree," "Make the DEVICENAME warmer," "What temperature is the DEVICENAME set to," "Set the DEVICENAME to automatic."
- Google Assistant: "OK Google, set the DEVICENAME to 23 degree," "Set the DEVICENAME temperature to 25," "What is the temperature of DEVICENAME," "Set the DEVICENAME to auto."
- Attention: "DEVICENAME" is the device's name and can be customized. The temperature unit of the TRV and smart speaker must be identical.
Device Sharing Function:
The device can be shared with other family members, allowing them to remotely control the TRV. This involves clicking the Menu button, selecting "Share Device," then "Add home member," filling in the home member's account information, and finally, the mobile phone B agreeing to join.
