Why is my Utilitech Fan so loud?
    • B
      Bill SolisAug 9, 2025
To reduce fan noise, ensure that the CFM rating on your Utilitech Fan matches the square footage of your room. Check the damper to ensure it's functioning correctly; if damaged, contact Customer Service. Make sure there are no sharp duct bends within 18 inches of the fan discharge and that you're using the recommended ducting size. Also, verify the fan is securely attached to the ceiling joists.

What to do if my Utilitech 1074715 is not clearing humidity?
    • P
      phillipscalebAug 19, 2025
If your Utilitech Fan isn't clearing humidity, ensure sufficient airflow by slightly opening a door or window. The fan needs airflow to draw air out of the room. Also, check that the CFM rating on the fan matches the room's square footage. Note that clearing steam from the room within 15 minutes after a shower indicates proper operation.

What to do if my Utilitech 1074715 Fan is not clearing the room?
    • L
      lesliecrawfordAug 28, 2025
If your Utilitech Fan isn't clearing the room effectively, it could be due to insufficient intake airflow. Make sure a door or window is slightly open to allow airflow, as the fan needs sufficient airflow to draw from. Another reason could be insufficient CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). Ensure the CFM rating of your Utilitech Fan matches the requirements for your room size. Note that using a tissue is not an accurate method for determining if the fan is operating properly; if the fan clears steam from the room within approximately 15 minutes of completing your shower, then the fan is operating properly.
