7.4 Detection in Waters
You can also immerse the search head in flat waters in order to detect metal
objects or mines hidden in the ground.
Usually there is a larger difference in temperature between air and water.
Therefore, we recommend the following procedure:
1. Immerse the search head in the water
2. Wait for approx. 15 seconds until the search head has adapted itself to the
water temperature
3. Start compensation by pressing button „C“ briefly
4. After the alarm signal has stopped, you can move the search head slowly
above the ground of waters and observe the detection signals.
NOTE: The SOP’S have absolute priority to any instruction
manual.
NOTE: Move the search head continuously as the detection
system has a dynamic function principle and adapts
itself continuously to the soil.
NOTE: In order to determine the exact position of the
detected metal object faster, press the PINPOINT-
button and move the search head slowly above the
metal object (the maximum signal is produced when
the metal objects is in the centre of the search head).
