1.1 - FUNCTIONING OF THE COMPACT & SPLIT MK3 AIR-CONDITIONERS
During the cooling cycle the refrigerating circuit removes the heat away from the ambient air giving it
to the sea water. In heat mode, (RC models with reverse cycle) the heat is extracted from the sea
water and transferred to the air, which warms up. The heat pump (heating) is the best solution if the
sea water temperature is above 10° C.
As alternative to the RC version, the EH version is equipped by an electrical resistance which
warms up the air under thermostatic control.
You can select the functioning cycle, the desired temperature and the fan speed by means of the
control panel, installed in the air-conditioned room .
1.2 - VEGA MK 3 CONTROL PANEL
By means of the control panel, you can set and control the following functions:
A.-Switching on and off: push the central button (1) once; to switch off, push the button again
B.- Setting of the temperature by means of the knob (2): turn it clockwise to increase the
temperature set, anticlockwise to decrease it. The display (4) blinks for few seconds showing the set
value as you leave the knob, then it returns to show the room temperature value. The temperature
sensor is positioned behind the Vega MK3 logo.
C.- Setting of the fan speed: turn the left button (3) clockwise to increase the fan speed ,
anticlockwise to decrease it. The display (4), blinks for few seconds showing the fan speed value as
you leave the knob, then it returns to show the room temperature value. There are 8 manual speeds
plus Auto mode (A) which selects automatically the fan speed, decreasing it as the temperature gets
close to the set point.
1.3- AUTO MODE FUNCTIONING
The controls chooses automatically the running mode (cooling or heating) comparing the actual
room temperature to the temperature set value. The running mode is indicated by the small LEDs
(5) under the display.
