Auto-range
The auto-range is ideal for fast measuring.
The scope will set the appropriate sensitivity
and time base for an ideal signal readout.
Press the ‘T-V/div’ button if the joystick func-
tion does not appear in the ‘T-V/div’ mode.
Push the joystick to activate the auto-range.
The V/div and t/div settings will be displayed
inverted to indicate that the auto-range has
been switched on (fig. 32).
Remarks:
•
Auto-triggering will be set for a time base
of 5µs/div or slower.
• Normal triggering will be set for a time
base faster than 5µs/div.
• The slowest time base in the auto-range is
5ms/div.
• The fastest time base in the auto-range is
1µs/div.
• The Y-position will be placed in the mid-
dle of the display.
• Modifying the time base, the input sensi-
tivity, Y-position or trigger functions will
switch off the auto-range.
• Pushing the joystick in the ‘T-V/div’ mode
will switch –on or off the auto-range.
