PPS10 Pocket Scope
TM
Remarks:
Determining the frequency of a signal
requires the measurement of a period. The
easiest way to do this would be by placing
the vertical markers either on two consecu-
tive peaks or two identical slopes of a
signal.
When shifting from marker1 to marker2
the display will move until the selected
marker appears onto the display.
Signal markers
You can perform measurements on a certain sig-
nal by using 4 moveable markers. This can be
useful when measuring the interval between two
points, the period, the frequency or the amplitude
of any signal.
Press the MENU button to call the setup menu.
Use the joystick to select ‘Markers’ under
‘Keymode’ and push the joystick (Fig. 71a).
By using the joystick you can move the vertical
(time) and horizontal (voltage) marker. To move
the second set of markers, press the joystick. This
way makes it easier to shift from the first and the
second set of markers (fig. 74 & 75).
The display will shown this information:
1. The time interval between 2 vertical (time)
markers (t)
2. The calculated frequency 1/t (mostly used
with period measurements)
3. The voltage difference between two horizontal
(voltage) markers (V)
