High-Performance Ventilation Hood
Installation
Important: Install venlaon hood a minimum of 18"
(457 mm) above ground level or the ancipated snow
level.
Do not install under a deck, enclose porch, pao,
garage, crawl space or ac.

Limitations: The Matrix venlaon
hood is for residenal applicaons of
110 CFM or less ONLY.
It must be installed in accordance with
all current naonal and local regulaon
building and safety codes.
i WARNING!
Ensure the venlaon hood is installed with a minimum
clearance of 6  (1.83 m) away from the exhaust vents
of a combuson source or a source of pollutants such as
a gas furnace, dryer, gas boiler, range hood, barbecue,
garbage bin, driveway or garage..

Installing Ventilation Hoods for
Fresh Air and Exhaust
Install the outside venlaon hoods at least 18 inches
(0.5 m) above ground level or above the ancipated
snow level, and we recommend with at least 6 
(1.8 m) between the fresh air intake and the exhaust.
Always properly seal the supply and exhaust hoods to
the exterior of the thermal envelope of the building
with caulk or other similar material to inhibit air leakage.
Note: Fresh air intake hoods shall be located to avoid
combuson sources or sources of pollutants such as:
