8.4 Space Requirements
The condenser needs sucient installation and service space around the installation place. The detailed space requirements are
shown in Figures below
NOTICE
The unit does not operate correctly if placed too close to walls or other obstacles.
8.4.1 Placement Options and Piping Restrictions for the Liebert
®
EconoPhase and Air-Cooled Condenser
The Liebert
®
MC condenser and Liebert
®
EconoPhase must be installed next to each other (see Tables 8.1 and 8.2 for
guide-lines). The Liebert
®
EconoPhase is dependent on subcooled liquid leaving the condenser and entering the pumps. For
this reason there must be no large pressure drop between the two units because that could lead to ashing of the refrigerant
and pump cavitation. There must be no traps in the liquid line between the condenser and the Liebert
®
EconoPhase module
because these will allow vapor to enter the pump suction during startup.
