Replacing a Bullet Nose Type Circuit Breaker
NOTE!
Applies only if power system is equipped with Bullet Nose type circuit breakers.
Refer to SAG581126000 for part numbers.
Procedure
NOTE!
Refer to
Figure 25
as this procedure is performed.
1. Open the Distribution Cabinet's front door by turning and holding the captive fastener in the
counterclockwise position.
2. Operate the defective circuit breaker to the OFF position.
3. Gently rock the defective circuit breaker up and down while pulling outward until the breaker is free.
4. Ensure that the circuit breaker is in the OFF position, and is of the correct rating.
CAUTION! In the next step, the circuit breaker alarm will operate incorrectly if the circuit breaker is
installed upside down.
5. Orient the circuit breaker so the OFF and ON labeling on the handle is right side up. Insert the terminals
on the rear of the circuit breaker into their corresponding sockets on the distribution assembly. Push
circuit breaker in firmly until fully seated in the distribution assembly.
6. Operate the replacement circuit breaker to the ON position.
7. Verify no Circuit Breaker Alarms are active.
8. Close the front door of the Distribution Cabinet. The door can be shut without turning the captive
fastener.
