3.1. Port Description
In order for IPScan to properly monitor and manage the network, IPScan uses below port
numbers. If your network has firewall and/or security related products, be sure to check if there
are conflicting ports in order to prevent any network problem.
Port No Protocol Description
6812 TCP Upgrade IPScan Probe firmware using the upgrade program.
30000 TCP IPScan Console to connect to IPScan Server.
30001 TCP IPScan Probe to connect to IPScan Server.
30002 TCP IPScan Server internal communication (Control Port).
30003 TCP IPScan Server internal communication (Data Port).
30004 TCP IPScan Console to connect to IPScan Server (Control Port).
30005 TCP IPScan Console to connect to IPScan Server (Event Port).
22 TCP Connect to IPScan Probe 500A using SSH.
23 TCP Connect to IPScan Probe using telnet.
25 TCP IPScan Server to connect to mail server using SMTP.
67 TCP DHCP Server Bootstrap communication.
68 TCP DHCP Client Bootstrap communication.
137 UDP Probe to query NetBIOS protocol.
1433 TCP IPScan Console and Server to connect to MSSQL.
1525 TCP IPScan Console and Server to connect to Oracle.
