What to do if there is a difference between the flowrate on the left and the right spreading discs of Vicon RO-M EW Spreader?
    • J
      Jesus FischerAug 9, 2025
Uneven flow rates between the left and right spreading discs on your Vicon Spreader may be due to several reasons. The dosing setting or discharge points might not be set the same on both sides. Alternatively, the stop of one or both of the actuators may have been moved, or there could be a blockage on one side. To solve this, check the dosing settings and ensure they are identical on both sides. Inspect the position of the connecting points and readjust them if necessary. Also, clean the machine thoroughly to remove any blockages and replace the agitator if it's worn.

What to do if Vicon RO-M EW has spreading tracks visible among the crops?
    • K
      Kristen MartinezAug 15, 2025
Visible spreading tracks among crops when using the Vicon Spreader can be due to several factors. These include average fertilizer quality (granule size), using a blend of fertilizer types, using new fertilizer with old settings, using the wrong spreading chart, incorrect overlapping of the spreading pattern, incorrect horizontal/vertical settings, incorrect spreader height, incorrect working width, worn or missing vanes, unequal tire pressure on the tractor, reduced spreading disc rpm, or an improperly set discharge point or dosing mechanism. To fix this, determine the fertilizer characteristics, select the correct spreading chart, set out driving tracks properly, ensure the machine is level, set the correct working height, and check the discharge points and PTO shaft rpm.

Why does my Vicon RO-M EW make a noise while running?
    • J
      Joseph BuckAug 21, 2025
A noisy Vicon Spreader can be caused by several issues. The discharge bushing might be making contact with the spreading disc, the spreader may have been put down with a filled hopper, the spreading disc could be bent or out of balance, or there might be encrusted fertilizer on the agitator or spreading discs. Remove any encrusted fertilizer and clean the machine thoroughly after each use. Check the spreading discs for damage and ensure all vanes are present. For issues with the discharge bushing, please contact your dealer. If the hopper was put down filled, repair the machine and reset the dosing mechanism and discharge point.

How to prevent great amounts of dust while spreading with Vicon RO-M EW?
    • M
      Melinda DelgadoAug 28, 2025
Excessive dust during spreading with the Vicon Spreader can be attributed to a few factors. It could be due to the average quality of the fertilizer (too soft, broken, or mixed types) or incorrect storage. High spreading disc RPM, a grinding agitator (caused by dosing units closed for too long with the PTO shaft running), or a right agitator grinding (spreading disc not disconnected during border spreading) can also contribute. To mitigate this, contact your supplier and update the storage area. Check the PTO shaft RPM. Switch off the PTO shaft immediately after closing the dosing units. Spread with smaller working widths as far as possible.

Why is my Vicon RO-M EW applying incorrect rates?
    • J
      Julie CortezNov 2, 2025
Incorrect application rates with your Vicon Spreader can occur due to several reasons. It could be that the dosing setting is incorrect, the setting for fine application is off, or the driving speed signal isn't correctly set. Also, the driving speed signal may be incorrect, or the distance between driving tracks may not be properly set. A new type of fertilizer used with old settings, blocked fertilizer flow, incorrect values on the ‘Curve Calibration’ screen, incorrect application rate and/or working width entered, manual operation of the control system, incorrect values entered after a manual calibration test, an incorrect or non-measuring speedometer, or a mismatch between simulated and real driving speeds on tractors without driving speed measurement can also cause this issue.
