3. Allow appliance to sit overnight with the vinegar solution in the water reservoir.

then pouring the water back out into the sink, repeating this step twice.
TO DESCALE INTERNAL PARTS:
1.Makesureyoudescaletheinsideofthewaterreservoirrstbyfollowingthe“Descaling”
steps above.
2.Makesureallcontrolsareintheoffpositionandthepowercordisdisconnectedfrom
theelectricaloutlet.Fillthereservoirwithwhitevinegarabovetheminimumlevel.
3.InserttheportalterwithlterintothePortaSlideSystem.Placeajarontopofthedrip
grillandundertheportalter.
4.Plugthepowercordintotheelectricaloutlet.
5.Pressthepowerbuttontoturntheuniton.Thelightringwillashuntilthebrewing
temperature is reached and then it will be steady on. Turn the espresso brewing dial to
cleaning cycle mode and then press the brewing start button. The cycle will automatically
stop and the amber light will turn off.
6. To clean the steam wand internally, place a cup with cold water under the tip of the
steam wand. Insert the steam wand into the water and press the steam start button
“
” to stop the steam cycle. This will clean any residue left in the
steam wand. Repeat the process as needed.
7. Repeat steps 1 – 6 as necessary using only tap water to rinse any remaining traces of
vinegar out of the machine.

Store your espresso maker on top of your kitchen countertop or inside a cabinet. Ensure to
unplug the unit if not in use.
