5.2 PROBLEMS AND SYSTEM WARNINGS
THE SYSTEM STARTS, BUT THE
CONTROL UNIT DOES NOT
RESPOND
THE SYSTEM DOES NOT START
THE PROBE DOES NOT ARTICU-
LATE PROPERLY
Never squeeze or pull on the articulating
bending neck! This may cause severe da-
mage to your probe!

Check if the main power cable is
connected correctly at both ends and
power is available.

Optional battery operation:
Check if the battery pack is fully
charged

Check if the battery is properly
connected.

Check the systems functionality using
main power.

Disconnect and re-connect (hot plug) the
cable to restart and establish the hand-
shake.

Is the cable connection from base unit to
control unit established and both ends
connected properly?

Check if the micro compressor is turned
ON

Check if the micro compressor icon is
displayed in the operation menu

Check if the air control meter in the
lower left screen shows sucient air
pressure (min 6 to 12 bar).

Is the optional external air supply turned
on?

Is the plug of the external air supply
connector locked?

Is there unexpected air ow noise?

Check the sealing on the interchange-
able probe connector

Is the X-WAY articulation locked?
Press n on your control unit.

Reel o and straighten the rst four me-
ters of your X-WAY probe. Pull the probe
(20 cm before the probe tip) and gently
straighten the insertion tube.
