· The motor cannot be driven accidentally and must be disconnected from the mains (e.g. remove fuses, unplug, switch off
circuit breaker, etc.).
· The pump is free of pumped fluid, flushing it internally with appropriate liquid in case it is a hazardous fluid (hot, pollutant,
flammable).
7.9.1 Disassembly
1.- Remove the coupling core protector.
2.
- Uncouple the pump from the motor, as indicated:
a. Coupling with Spacer. Loosen the coupling connecting bolts and remove the coupling.
b. Coupling without spacer. Loosen the coupling connecting bolts and remove the coupling. Loosen the motor fixing
bolts, and remove the motor backwards.
3.- If the pump needs to be repaired, loosen the union body union nuts and the rear support leg nuts.

7.8 Electric Motor Drive
The control of the motor bearings is critical, as failure of the bearings could result in damage to the pumping equipment.
Therefore, it is important to perform vibration and temperature measurements to analyze the condition of the bearings.
Each electric motor has a degree of protection that must satisfy each particular situation, in order to carry out a program of
revision and cleaning of its internal components, it is advisable to carry out voltage and amperage controls in each phase
separately.
