7.9.2 Mounting
1. Assemble the pump (if it has been disassembled) and tighten the nuts of the pump casing - pump casing -
union body.
2. Couple the pump to the motor, as indicated:
a.- Coupling with Spacer. Mount the coupling with spacer and fix it with the screws.
b.- Coupling without spacer. Put the motor in place. Mount the coupling and fix it with the screws.
3. Align the coupling.
4. Mount the coupling core protector.

N O T E
If you are not sure what type of execution your pump has, contact qualified technical personnel by calling the head office
or any authorized distributor.
Disconnect electrical power to the motor to prevent accidental starting of the pumping equipment and possible personal
injury.
7.11 Impeller Clearance Adjustment
The MD, MDE, HDE series has two execution alternatives, one execution with axial position adjustment of the impeller, and another
execution with single axial position of the impeller, therefore, without axial position adjustment. In the following, we present two
procedures for adjusting the axial position of the impeller, for equipment with this alternative.
7.10 Pump
For removal of bearings, shaft, etc., it is necessary to disassemble and assemble the entire pump. For this purpose, provide the necessary
drawing with a breakdown of parts and a list of recommended spare parts.
As a general guide for the disassembly of the equipment, follow the steps below:
• Remove the coupling core shroud and then the coupling as described in 7.8 Assembly and Disassembly Instructions.
• Remove the assembly consisting of bearing housing, union housing, pump cover, impeller (torpedo).
• Loosen the impeller nut and then loosen and remove the impeller.
• Remove the mechanical seal.
• Loosen and remove the pump cover.
• Remove the shaft with the bearings by tapping with a plastic hammer on the pump end.
• For the assembly proceed in reverse order. Check the correct positioning of parts, especially seals and impellers.
