Vehicle cleaning
• Pressure washers, steam cleaners or
running water
• Abrasive disc or rotary scrubbing
machines
• Solvents, aggressive cleaning agents
or alcohol-based solvents
CAUTION
Do not leave water on the floors to soak.
Water can enter the floor and damage the
floor structural parts.
Monthly maintenance
A more thorough cleaning should be
done once per month.
• Sweep the floor with a soft brush or a
vacuum cleaner. Pay attention to
places that are difficult to access
(under the seats, the floor edges and
the corners) with a hand brush.
• Distribute the cleaning agent over the
full floor area of the bus, and wait for
2 to 3 min.
• Scrub the floor with a long-handled
brush or small scrubbing brush.
• Remove any stubborn stains such as
chewing gum, asphalt, etc. using a
scraper or brush.
• Use a mop or floor washer to remove
any dirty water.
Rubber edgings
• Wipe down the rubber corner
edgings with a damp cloth.
• Where there is a lot of dirt on the
floor, clean it with a damp cloth or
brush, using a neutral cleaning
agent.
• Stubborn stains such as chewing
gum or asphalt, etc. should be
removed using a scraper.
NOTE
Use the scraper with care to prevent
damage to the edgings. Pierced edgings
can cause water to seep under the
covering during cleaning and this may
cause damage to the floor adhesive.
Carpeting
Vacuum clean all carpet surfaces inside
the bus on a daily basis. The carpets do
not have to be removed during
vacuuming.
However, washing the carpets should be
done outside the bus. Start by vacuum
cleaning the carpet to remove dirt. Then
take the carpet outside and wash it using
a special agent designed for this
purpose.
The carpet covering in the gangway, on
the steps, in the driver's place, under the
passenger seats and in the luggage
compartments is easily removed from
the floor using retaining studs.
NOTE
After removing the carpet covering,
vacuum or sweep the floor to remove dust
and sand.
Wall and ceiling
Laminates
Daily maintenance of wall and ceiling
laminates, as well as lower partition
items involve thorough wiping down of
the laminate surface using a damp cloth
and cleaning agent.
Wall laminates and interior partition
laminates should be cleaned more often,
since they are more likely to get dirty.
Problematic dirt, such as scuff marks
from shoes, mud, etc. should be
removed using a cleaning agent and
brushes of medium stiffness. After
cleaning the surface, wipe it down with a
damp cloth.
