Vehicle cleaning
Wiper blades
To avoid tearing frozen wiper blades,
loosen them before use. Remove and
clean the wiper blades periodically with
an alcohol based cleaning agent. Use a
soft cloth or sponge.
Stickers
Application of films and stickers should
be performed by authorized service
personnel.
CAUTION
Placing stickers, film and advertising
application is allowed after a minimum of
90 days drom the delivery date of the bus.
When applying and removing film or
stickers, carefully follow the suppliers'
instructions.
Application and removal should be done
in room temperature, ensuring that the
bus is also the same temperature.
Carefully heat sticker prior to removal,
and peel it off at a 90° angle.
Interior cleaning
Correct maintenance of all bus interior
will ensure optimum service life and
durability.
Areas subject to heavy passenger use
require greater attention.
Always start cleaning items located
uppermost in the bus (ceilings, luggage
racks, lights), and then move on to items
located further down (wall laminates,
partition walls, hand rails, seats). Floor
cleaning should be carried out last of all.
Do not walk on washed or cleaned
surfaces until they are completely dry.
CAUTION
Do not use aggressive or corrosive
cleaning agents. Use environmentally
friendly, neutral cleaning agents
recommended by Volvo workshops.
For information on recommended
cleaning agents, see Cleaning agents
page 106.
Driver's place
Take special care when cleaning the
driver's place.
Wipe the dashboard and steering wheel
with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning
agent. Do not use solvents since they
can damage the surface.
Sweep the floor with a soft brush or a
vacuum cleaner, and wipe the floor with
a damp mop.
CAUTION
Do not use pressure washers or steam
washers inside the driver's place.
Sensitive components can be severely
damaged by excessive water.
Floors
Follow the cleaning instructions to
maintain the visual appearance and
functional properties of the floor.
Daily maintenance
• Sweep the floor with a soft brush or a
vacuum cleaner.
• Wipe the floor down with a damp
mop.
• Where there is a lot of dirt on the
floor, such as near the entrance

water.
