Deactivate Off-road TCS
Deactivate Off-road TCS by pressing the
switch again.
If the engine is turned off when the TCS
function is deactivated, the TCS remains
deactivated when the engine is started
again.
When the TCS is disengaged, a symbol
is shown in the driver information
display.
Disable TCS
When testing on a roller bench or when
towing with a raised axle, TCS must be
disabled.
Use the driver information display to
disabe the TCS. The bus must be
stationary.

NOTE
Disabling the TCS from the driver
information display also disables the TCS
switch.
TCS is enabled again the next time the
starter key is turned to the drive position,
or the front axle turns faster than 12
km/h.
Calibrate TCS
The TCS can be calibrated after fitting
wheels on the driven axle that are
smaller than the wheels that were fitted
there before.
Drive a shorter distance at a speed
above 25 km/h, distance depends on the
difference in size between the wheels.
This allows the EBS to adapt to the
difference in size between the wheels.
It can be difficult to drive due to TCS
limiting engine torque. In such cases,
activate the Off-road TCS. Off-road TCS
allows a greater difference in wheel
speed between the front axle and the
driven axle. When Off-road TCS is
activated, it takes longer for the EBS
system to adapt to the difference in size
between the wheels.
Hill start aid
Hill start aid prevents the bus from rolling
backwards when starting on an uphill
gradient by maintaining braking
performance until the bus is in traction
mode.
The function is activated by pressing the
switch. The indicator lamp in the switch
is illuminated when activated.
The symbol in the driver information
display is shown for as long as the
brakes are applied on the bus.
Follow the instructions below on how to
use the hill start aid.
1 Press the switch.
2 Keep the bus stationary using the
footbrake.
3 Depress the clutch.
4 Select a suitable starting gear.
5 Release the footbrake.
The bus is remains stationary.
