warningtagDONOTOPERATEisattachedtotheignitionkeyorlocatedonthedash.
Checkwiththepersonwhoattachedthetagbeforestarting.
Makesurenooneisworkingonorclosetotheengineorcomponentsdrivenbytheengine
beforestartingit.Alwaysmakeaninspectionoftheenginebeforeandafterstarting.
Dieselengineexhaustcontainsproductsofcombustionwhichmaybeharmfultoyour
health.Alwaysstartandoperatetheengineinawell-ventilatedarea,andifinanenclosed
area,venttheexhausttotheoutside.
Starttheengineonlyfromthedriverseatinthecab.Neverstarttheenginebyshorting
acrossthestartermotorterminalsorbatteriestostarttheengineasthiscouldbypassthe
engineneutral-startsystemaswellasdamagetheelectricalandelectronicsystem.Always
starttheengineaccordingtotherequiredenginestartingproceduredescribedinthis
operatorsmanualtopreventmajorenginecomponentdamageandpersonalinjury.
