Answering system settings
Answer on/off
The answering system must be turned on to answer and record messages.
When the answering system is turned on, the ANS light on the telephone
base turns on and ANS ON displays on the cordless handset.
To set answer on/off with a cordless handset:
Press MENU when idle.
Scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Scroll to Answer ON/OFF, then press SELECT.
Scroll to On or Off, then press SELECT.
To set answer on/off with the telephone base:
Press ANS to turn the answering system on or off.
Call screening
Use this feature to choose whether incoming messages can be heard over
the cordless handset or the telephone base while they are being recorded.
To set call screening on/off with a cordless handset:
Press MENU when idle.
Scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press SELECT again to select Call screening.
Scroll to On or Off, then press SELECT.
To set call screening on/off with the telephone base:
Press MENU when idle, then press SELECT to select Answering system.
Scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press SELECT again to select Call screening.
Scroll to On or Off, then press SAVE.
