Tightening the V-belt / Checking V-belt tension
IMPORTANT:
Exact V-belt tension is essential for maximum
cutting performance with minimum fuel
consumption. Improper V-belt tension will result
in premature wear to the V-belt and V-belt wheel or
damage to the clutch bearing. Retighten new V-
belt after first running hour!
NOTE: The two fastening nuts (11) must be loosened
before tightening the V-belt or checking the tension.
To increase the belt tension, turn the tightening screw
(12) to the right (clockwise) with the combination
wrench included with the Power Cut.
The belt tension is correctly adjusted when the nut (13)
is centred on the mark (14).
IMPORTANT: After tightening/inspection,
make certain to tighten the fastening nuts
(11) (30 + 2 Nm).
