Information on checking/adding coolant
Burn hazard due to hot coolant!
Hot coolant can cause burns to the skin.
► Do not open the coolant reservoir if the engine is hot or
if the cooling system is under pressure.
► Let the engine cool down.
► Wear protective equipment.
Damage to the engine and cooling system.
► The coolant should be made up to equal parts of water
and antifreeze. This mixture ensures the best possible
ratio between cooling performance, antifreeze and
anti-corrosion protection.
► Do not add the coolant too quickly if the full capacity
has to be added, for example, when replacing the
coolant. Fill a maximum 5 l/min. If the coolant is added
too quickly to the cooling system, air bubbles can be
trapped in the cooling system and cause engine
overheating.
