For retro-t installations where the drywall is already
in place, you will need to mud over the mud-ring. In
either case, the mud-ring and backbox must be installed
behind the drywall.
NOTE: All cables and connections must be carried out by a qualied
electrician and must conform to the local electrical code. Conduits are
only required where it is mandated by state or provincial code. Please
refer to local electrical code for compliant applications.
