Usage Features:

  • Initial Setup: The thermostat requires professional installation by a qualified electrician. After physical installation, initial setup involves downloading the MyHeating App and scanning a QR code on the thermostat display to complete the WiFi setup and system configuration.
  • Temperature Control: Users can quickly change the target temperature by pressing the up/down arrows. In program mode, this sets a temporary override until the next heating period. In manual mode, it sets a fixed target temperature indefinitely.
  • Mode Selection: The thermostat offers Manual Mode, Program Mode, and Heating OFF. Mode selection allows users to switch between these operational states.
  • Programmable Schedules: Users can set comfort temperatures at specific times throughout the day. Programs can be set individually for each day, for all days the same, or as blocks for weekdays and weekends. Up to 5 heating periods can be configured per day.
  • Temporary Override: This feature allows users to set a target temperature that overrides the current heating program until the next scheduled heating period or for a set duration.
  • Energy Monitor: The MyHeating App provides energy monitoring, showing the amount of energy consumed over a certain period. This is calculated based on system power, efficiency, and run time. Users need to input their system's power and efficiency for accurate monitoring.
  • SmartGeo: This unique technology learns user routines and location through background communication with a smartphone. It automatically lowers temperatures when users are away and raises them to the ideal comfort temperature before their arrival, optimizing energy efficiency. SmartGeo operates in program or manual run modes and is turned off by default.
  • Display Settings: Users can adjust display brightness for active, day standby, and night standby modes.
  • Sensor Configuration: The thermostat allows configuration of Control Sensor Probe 1 (5 & 6) and Limit Sensor Probe 2 (6 & 7) types, with settings between 5, 10, 12, 15, and 100K.
  • Temperature Limits: Users can set air and floor temperature limits to prevent overheating or excessive cooling.
  • Open Window Function: This feature detects open windows or doors and switches off heating to save energy.
  • Display Lock: A display lock can be activated and a code set to prevent unauthorized changes to settings.
  • WiFi Setup: The MyHeating App facilitates WiFi connection, allowing remote control and access to smart features.
  • Factory Reset: This option erases all settings and restores the thermostat to factory defaults.

Maintenance Features:

  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as a blank display, sensor errors, WiFi connectivity problems, and incorrect time/date settings.
  • Error Codes and Notifications: The thermostat displays various notifications and error codes to alert users to issues like date/time not set, open window function triggered, temporary override enabled, holiday mode enabled, frost protect enabled, heating switched off, display locked, sensor errors (P1 and P2), and WiFi not setup/disconnected.
  • Adaptive Learning (Early Start): This feature uses historic heating/cooling rates, external temperatures, and forecast external temperatures to calculate the optimal heating start time, ensuring the comfort temperature is reached at the beginning of the scheduled period. It only functions in Program Mode.
  • Firmware Updates: The manual suggests checking if the router firmware is updated to the latest version as part of WiFi troubleshooting.
  • Professional Assistance: For complex issues, especially those related to wiring or sensor faults, the manual advises contacting a qualified electrician.
  • Warranty: Warmup plc provides a 12-year limited warranty for the product when installed with a Warmup heater, covering defects in workmanship or materials under normal use. Registration within 30 days of purchase is required. A 3-year warranty applies if the thermostat is installed with a non-Warmup heater. The warranty does not cover removal/re-installation costs or damage due to incorrect installation or failure to follow instructions.

The Warmup Element WiFi Thermostat is a sophisticated device designed for efficient and convenient heating management, integrating smart technology with user-friendly controls.
