  If your Webasto Water Heater operates only for a few minutes, consider these potential causes: * The heater might not be seated properly in its support, causing exhaust gas to be aspirated. Loosen the 2 M6 screws and position it correctly. * The fuel lines of the heater might not be properly connected, with flow and return pipes interchanged. Connect the fuel lines in accordance with the installation instructions. * A kinked coolant hose or a cooling system that hasn't been bled completely. Check the line routing and bleed the cooling system, starting the engine.

How to troubleshoot Webasto Thermo Top Water Heater that can't be switched on?

  If your Webasto Water Heater won't switch on, several issues could be the cause. It might be in overheating lock-out mode, in which case you should remove the 15A fuse and determine the cause. Check that the summer/winter switch is in the correct position and that the battery isn't discharged (charge it if it is). A defective fuse could also be the reason, so replace it if necessary. If it's a defective digital timer, use a testing device on the heater to check if the digital timer switches properly. Disconnect connector X14 from the heater, connect the testing device, and switch on the digital timer. The indicator lamp must light up; if not, the timer is defective and the power supply to the timer is disrupted. Alternatively, check if 12 V voltage is present across contact 1 (6-pole conne...
