NEW
ENGINE
BREAK-IN
a.
Accelerate
the
engine
to
full
throttle
for
1-2
minutes
right
after
you
start
the
engine
for
the
first
time.
This
al
lows
the
engine
to
warm-up
and
burn
off
any
oil
that
could
be
on
the
clutch.
Unless
the
engine
Is
proper
ly
broken-ln,
the
cutting
head
may
not
turn
properly
the
first
time
you
try
to
use
the
unit.
It
Is
not
necessary
to
repeat
this
pro
cedure.
b.
Avoid
heavy
usage
until
the
engine
has
burned
one
tankful
of
fuei
mix.
This
will
al
low
time
for
parts
to
seat
properly.

COLD
ENGINE
STARTING

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
For
maximum
performance
and
efficiency:
1.
Always
accelerate
the
engine
to
the
desired
speed
before
cutting.
2.
Never
operate
the
engine
at
a
higher
speed
than
necessary.
3.
Always
release
the
trigger
and
allow
the
engine
to
return
to
idle
speed
when
not
cut-

ting.
Stop
engine
by
pressing
the
"OFF"
button
(Figure
9)
or
by
pulling
the
choke
knob
to
full
choke
position
(Figure
6).
Hold
button
down
until
engine
stops.
Let
your
authorized
service
dealer
make
car
buretor
adjustments.
The
carburetor
has
been
carefully
adjusted
at
the
factory
for
sea
level
conditions.
Carburetor
adjustment
may
become
necessary
if
the
unit
Is
used
at
significantly
higher
altitudes.
