A. INTRODUCTION
Your Model 1700 Trimmer will help you make short
work of a variety of lawn care tasks such as
trimming, scalping, sweeping, and mowing.
The time-saving TAP-N-GO® Cutting Head
automatically extends cutting line when lightly
tapped on the ground and will cut a 17" path.
The cutting line is powered by a light-weight,
top-mounted engine, designed for maximum
control and ease of handl ing.
A blade conversion kit is available for your
Model 1700 Trimmer. When the blade conver
sion kit is properly installed, the Model 1700
Trimmer will accept the 8 inch Weed Blade, an
optional accessory, designed for cutting weeds
and grass. The blade conversion kit is available
through your WEED EATER® Dealer.
UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
Your WEED EATER® Trimmer has been care
ful ly packed at the factory to prevent damage
during shipping and storage. Carefully unpack
the carton as follows:
1. Remove contents from the carton.
2. Check parts against the list below.
3. Examine parts for damage.
4. Notify your WEED EATER® Dealer immedi
ate ly if a part is missing or damaged.
