D. TAP-N-GO® CUTTING HEAD MAINTENANCE
1. CUTTING LINE REPLACEMENT
a. Hold Tap-N-Go® Cutting Head as shown
in Figure 18. Press the lock tab, and turn
outer ring counterciockwise A ^

b. Remove the lock ring, tap button, and
spool. Figure 19.
c. Clean dirt and debris from housing and
spool.
d. inspect spool and drive gear. Replace as
necessary. See instructions #2 and #3 this
section.
e. Replace nylon line on the spool, by first
placing 1/16 to 1/8 inch of the end of the
line through the hole in the spool. Wrap
the line onto the spool in a clockwise
direction as shown by arrow on spool. See
Figure 20.
f. insert the end of the line in the housing
outlet as shown in Figure 21. Place spool
in housing. Force spool down. Turn and
lock spool under drive lugs in drive gear.
g. Replace the tap button; press lock tab and
install the lock ring. Turn the lock ring
clockwise and fasten under the
catches on the housing. Figure 22. Check
to be certain ail catches are properly
secured.
