Storage, cleaning, and maintenance
Storage
The scale should be stored on a stable surface. If not, the scale should be stored in a
convenient storage facility or closet. At no time should the scale be lifted by grasping the
cradle. During storage or shipping, disconnect the cradle from the scale to prevent
damage to the scale’s electronic transducers.
Cleaning and disinfecting
Scale
Note Any visible soil must be removed before cleaning or disinfecting.
1. Use one of the following products when cleaning or disinfecting your scale:
• PDI Super Sani-Cloth
®
(disinfectant) and Sani-Cloth
®
Plus (disinfectant)
• Metrex CaviWipes™ (disinfectant)
• A clean cloth moistened with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol
• Clorox Healthcare
®
Bleach Germicidal Wipes (disinfectant) or Sani-Cloth
®
Bleach
Wipes (disinfectant)
2. For optimal results, follow the manufacturer's instructions and your facility's
procedure to clean the scale. Make sure to properly dispose of any used cleaning
supplies.
CAUTION The scale will tarnish with prolonged contact with bleach. Use
only the approved chemicals indicated above.
Cradle
